Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Therapy is collaborative and I am committed to helping you get your needs met, both inside the therapy room and out in the world. We can tailor our meetings to ensure that therapy engages the breadth and depth of your experience. My goal is that we use our time in a way that allows you to explore your concerns and articulate and embody your deepest desires and truths. We can also help you let go of outdated beliefs and habits and use our collective wisdom to support your healing and growth. I have an extensive background in Yoga and have trained in Sensory Awareness and Authentic Movement. These practices can be integrated into our work and are useful in accessing felt experience that can not be found through language alone. I am open to discussing issues such as sexuality and alternative lifestyle choices and work with multi-cultural clients.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
