Personal Statement:
Dr. Horn is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. He has Master’s Degrees in Education, Theology and Psychology. Dr. Horn has worked with children and families since 1987 as a licensed therapist. He has been a mental health manager for Santa Clara County Mental Health Department for 20 years. Dr. Horn has worked extensively with children and families across all cultures addressing complex therapeutic issues. He has a wide knowledge of children with disabilities and family trauma issues. He is a subject matter expert for the Board of Behavioral Science Examiners and a certified trauma specialist. Dr. Horn has maintained a private practice as well as his work with the county. He is a grandfather, avid reader, and enjoys riding his road bike to maintain fitness. He believes in the family unit, hones communication and brings a down-to-earth no-nonsense approach to therapy. He is also a veteran of the Vietnam War and received two purple hearts and the Army Commendation Medal for valor.
