Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Looking for a therapist who can reach your struggling teen? If so, I can help. I specialize in helping teenagers and their families overcome the many issues that come with adolescence, including pornography, substance abuse and excessive video gaming. My clients experience significant growth when they follow my practical, solution-focused recommendations. I also have a natural ability to get even the most resistant teens to open up. I'm an author of various articles, I speak regularly to parents in our community about keeping our kids safe online, and I'm a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist Candidate through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals, founded by Dr. Patrick Carnes.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
