Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
As a former teacher and director of a school for the past 30 years, including working with youth on probation, I feel that I can offer knowledgeable perspectives on parenting as well as offering mandated clients classes in both parenting and anger management. My classes have been court accepted. I also can offer a calm, warm, safe environment for couples, inividuals and children. I care about families and I am aware of how each individual can affect the whole. I believe that we are like snowflakes in that we each experience our very individualized perception of experience; therefore one change in one individual can change an entire family system. All interpersonal relationships form reality within a social context unique to the individual. You are the expert in your life and only you know what change would be like. I wish to facilitate this change and collaborate with you as we journey towards goals of enlightenment, contentment, peace and happiness. I consider this journey a privilege to share with you.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
