Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am newly licensed and have recently opened my own private practice, my fees are extremely low. My sliding scale begins at $25 per counseling session. The most experience I have is with children but I also enjoy working with adults. Teenagers tend to relate well with me. I usually prefer working from a behavior modification stand point when working with children and adolescents. While working with adults, I find it valuable to work with the person as a whole of many different parts. Balance is the key to success and of course this also applies to mental health. When a couple comes to me for marriage counseling, I find it effective to work from a solution focused viewpoint. I will supply you with tools to live a more satisfying life.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
