Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Have you reached the point that you’ve had it with stuck negative feelings, thoughts or patterns in your life? Are you ready for a change and want that change to come as safely and steadily as possible? I honor your determination, and am eager to work together with you in service of your healing.
My view of healing is not that we “grow” a new you. I make use of Bowen Family Systems theory (fantastic for relationships) and EMDR (a well validated treatment for trauma, plus Performance Enhancement) to calm the blockages that keep your natural inner talents and strengths from shining forth. In other words, my goal is to help your true personality to thrive.
Please call me soon. If I am full, which I often am, I know other clinicians with similar skills, inspiration and dedication. I’d be happy to give you their names.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
