Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Many approaches to therapy focus primarily on relieving symptoms. While these therapies are effective at alleviating symptoms, they often do not address the underlying issues that led to the symptoms developing. Oftentimes, the symptoms will return or a new set of symptoms will develop from the same unresolved issues. The approach Daniel McCracken takes addresses both the symptoms and the underlying issues to facilitate a deeper level of growth.

The particular style of depth psychotherapy provided, which can be brief, is a blend of existential and relationally oriented psychodynamic therapy, with the tenants that:

All people are valued as unique individuals!

people desire to be in relationships. Part of the process of therapy is to help people develop more satisfying and enriching relationships.

The relationship between the client and therapist is an essential part of the healing and growth process.

People have within themselves a potential for healing and growth.

Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
