For the past 25 years I have specialized in the treatment of perpetrators of domestic violence and adults who were abused as children and have conducted trainings on these issues nationally and internationally. I have also testified as an expert witness in capital, domestic violence and malpractice cases.
Today my practice consists of psychotherapy services for individuals and couples who are experiencing a variety of mental health issues, incorporating attachment theory and neurobiology.
I have served on the Ethics Committee and the Board of Directors of CAMFT. I am a recipient of the CAMFT Distinguished Clinical Member Award.
I am the author of books on domestic violence including, Learning to Live Without Violence: A Handbook for Men; Wounded Boys/Heroic Men: A Man's Guide to Healing from Child Abuse; and The Court-Mandated Perpetrator Assessment and Treatment Handbook.
