Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
David is an experienced therapist who has the natural ability to make anybody feel comfortable. His compassionate and relaxed personal style means that he is a good fit for therapeutic work with people of any age and background, including individuals, couples and families. As a young male therapist, David is in a position to connect particularly easily with men and boys of all ages. He views himself as an experienced guide, walking with his clients in their world in order to understand and support them to move in the directions that they want to go. David believes that we are all doing the best we can with what we have. We develop skills that help us function in life, and when life situations change, it is often a time to learn new skills. David can help you discover those skills by shining a light on solutions you already have, or teaching you new ways of approaching the world.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
San Rafael, CA

My therapeutic style is non-judgmental, supportive, and interactive. My work is based on establishing a safe environment where trust can grow. I view symptoms as a way to call attention to unrecognized needs and unexpressed feelings. The goals of treatment include; learning to identify and express emotions, learning to set appropriate boundaries, developing skills such as self-soothing and impluse control and improving self-esteem.
