Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I work with many types of health issues. Some health issues include: adults who have been abused as children, children who have been abused, Post Traumatic Stess, Depression, BiPolar Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Domestic Violence (both perpetrators and survivors), couple's therapy, some drug and alcohol addiction issues, blended families, parenting skills, some eating disorders, stress, grief/loss issues, and spiritual growth. I believe each person has the capacity for change and focusing on the reduction of anxiety and fear can reduce many problematic issues. The methods I use are Cognitive Therapy and various techniques from several therapy models. I am a client centered therapist and encourage people to be aware of what they want in life and on being safe. In addition, my husband, Michael Ben Edwards, LMFT and I jointly work with couples. Be safe and be well.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
