Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am an empathetic listener, but more importantly, I am very interactive with lots of questions and feedback. I create a safe environment in which you can do your personal work. Therapy is not only about the one hour you are in my office, but about what you learn and how you apply it in your daily living after you leave my office. Plan to do homework. I am all about change and moving forward. I don’t want you to be in therapy forever rehashing the past. I will help you identify problem areas and help you to see new options and solutions to whatever problems you may be having. I have a 12 step orientation and have been in recovery for 26 years. Spiritual growth is an important part of my path.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
