Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Life happens. And along with it all the feelings and emotions that go with life’s ups and downs. I believe that we all have the solutions and strengths inside of us in order to handle the problems that life creates. However, at times, we become stuck. We only see the problems and can’t seem to find the solutions. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe that helping you move forward is my responsibility. I am the guide that helps you find the courage and strength inside of you by teaching you the skills needed to get back on the right path. I don’t ever tell you the answers - you already have them. We unlock them together. This way you will have those skills and strengths to fall back on in the future. YOU! YES YOU solve the problem and can move on with your life and begin living it to its fullest potential. I began my career with the desire to help people. I use my life experiences, education, and passion to help the clients my staff and I see and work with at Chrysalis Family Counseling Center. I specialize in “at-risk” youth and their families, as well as ADHD and other child/adolescent disorders. I also work with sexual assault victims who have been targets of rape, molestation, or incest. I am devoted to the philosophy that “We exist for the client”. I am here to offer hope and encouragement in a comfortable, caring, and supportive environment. I do not treat all clients the same, but tailor treatment plans to the client and the client’s individual needs. My services include counseling individuals, families, couples and groups. I invite you to browse our website and call or email me with any questions or concerns you may have. So, go ahead, what are you waiting for? Take your first step toward a happier more fulfilling life today.
