Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Do you feel sad or overwhelmed? Is anxiety preventing you from achieving your goals? Are you dissatisfied with your relationships or feel unable to change your life? Do you have difficulty sleeping? I can help you change your life and become the person you want to be. I believe the most important aspect of therapy is the bond between a client and the therapist, and I make every effort to achieve this bond from the first session. My goal is to have you leave each session with a sense of peace, hope and empowerment. I have been a licensed therapist since 1990. My specialties include treatment of depression, anxiety and addictive disorders. I work with adults and adolescents, and have extensive experience working with children. My philosophy is primarily based on the cognitive behavioral approach. However, my method of treatment varies according to the needs of each individual client. I would be happy to schedule a free telephone consultation with you to address any questions or concerns you may have. Please don't hesitate to call.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
