Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Anyone can feel stuck or overwhelmed, and just looking for help is a brave first step. The beauty of therapy is that you can reclaim your life. You and I, as a team, can identify the obstacles that are preventing you from achieving your personal goals or becoming the person you want to be. Often my clients say that they feel relief in just the very first session because they feel safe, heard, and understood. Through a trusting relationship with a skilled professional, positive change can occur. Every life goes through challenges, but you do not need to struggle alone. Call me, even if you just want to ask a few questions. I offer a free phone consultation.

I know it can be scary to reach out for help, especially in a culture that tells us we should be able to solve our problems on our own and, if we can’t, there is something wrong with us. Well, I’m here to challenge that culture that values independence more than interdependence, because as humans we are designed to be connected with others in relationships. And sometimes the first relationship that needs our focused attention is the one we have with ourselves in order to ‘show up’ in our relationships with others.
