Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Many people feel stressed by the complex, fast-paced world of today where the message is always “Do more!” Stress and distress are normal reactions to this pressure and we often find ourselves living to please others. Experience has shown me that with commitment, consistency and a great deal of emotional energy, people are able to make changes in their lives as they learn to live from who they really are inside. As a result clients seem to find more meaning in life and experience more rewarding relationships. I have worked with adults and children in clinical settings for 20 years and I have over 25 years of experience teaching elementary age children. My lifetime focus seems to have been spent working with families and, helping them appreciate the uniqueness and strengths of each individual within the family. My psychotherapy office is set up for working with adults and/or children as young as 3 years of age. For children I have a playroom equipped with a sandtray and other play therapy materials. For your convenience, I offer both daytime and evening appointments. Some appointment times are available on a sliding scale fee basis. Please contact me with any questions you might have.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
