Personal Statement:
Therapist has been practicing as a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) for 16 years, working with adults, adolescents, children, families, and groups presenting with relationship issues and mental or emotional distress, including severe and chronic mental illness and a wide spectrum of DSM-V diagnoses and V-codes. Therapist is also a certified as a Nationally Certified Counselor (#275697). The National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) issued this certification on April 16, 2011. Saybrook Graduate School conferred the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology upon Therapist on April 26, 2005. Pacifica Graduate Institute conferred the degree of Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology on Therapist on May 2, 1993. Therapist is a member in good standing of California Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). Membership has been active since 1993. Therapist’s theoretical orientation can be described as humanistic, holistic, and client-centered. Strategies and treatment views and approaches, such as solution-focused, communication, depth psychology, somatic, imaginal and dream therapy, family systems, feminist theory, affective therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness practice, may be integrated into the treatment plans, in consort with the needs of the client.
