Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I believe that entering a respectful, compassionate therapeutic relationship can promote real change in how one thinks and feels about oneself and others, leading to greater fulfillment and enjoyment in life. I work with individuals and couples on a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, bereavement, childhood trauma, career, relationship and family problems. Our work often results in unblocking self-defeating relationship patterns, better ability to manage stress and improved communication skills. A special interest has been in alleviating the damage to self-esteem and future relationships that so often follow divorce. My approach is interactive and collaborative in both on-going intensive as well as more focused short term therapy. I am certified in the use of EMDR.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
