Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I believe there is a force within all of us that strives for self realization. When nurtured, we find positive ways of being in and experiencing our world and inner strength to toIerate conflict. However, without support and security, we find maladaptive ways of surviving that are counter to how we imagine or intend ourselves to be. I provide a unique blend of psychotherapy that emphasizes self discovery and self acceptance as a way to facilitate social, emotional and behavioral development. My work is based on a deep respect for clients and a belief in their potential to heal and grow. An important part of my work is making sure you feel seen and understood. I will meet you where you are to help create awareness of thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Through insight and support, I believe one has the potential to make positive choices, handle conflict with resiliency and access hidden strengths. I specialize in helping clients cope with, manage or resolve anxiety/fear, depression, anger, guilt, shame and low self-esteem. With a background in music, I am also sensitive to the artist's struggles as they pertain to one's authenticity, self-confidence and the difficulty navigating the highs and lows of the business.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Carlsbad, CA

I provide a therapeutic environment that allows individuals and couples to explore ideas, beliefs, life experiences, thoughts and feelings that may stand in the way of being who you truly want to be. I can help point out repeating dysfunctional patterns that may exsist in relationships at home, at work and with friends and family.I teach people how to respond in their lives versus getting caught in reacting to personalities and events.
