Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Are you overwhelmed by emotional turmoil? Is a relationship causing you pain? Do you feel stuck in anxiety or depression? As an expert for emotional resilience and relational wellbeing, I help you get in touch with what you deeply want and uncover internal resources that have been buried. I assist you in developing communication skills to navigate the complexities of friendship, family and work. From this place of strength, we create together a safe space in therapy to experience and express the full range of human emotions so that even the most difficult experiences and traumatic events can be processed. In my practice, I offer individual and couples therapy. I combine the best traditions of talk-therapy with body centered (somatic) psychotherapy. This approach is based on groundbreaking neuroscience research about the brain, relationships (attachment theory), and non-judgmental attention (mindfulness). Therapy with me is gentle and focused, supportive and challenging. Most of us want to feel safe, seen and understood. And we want to be productive working towards meaningful goals. Whatever gets in your way is often the most difficult to accept about yourself. Met with compassion, these obstacles will loosen their grip and vibrant vitality and joy become possible.
