Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I’m Dino Ruffoni, MFT, a psychotherapist in Santa Rosa, California, providing supportive therapy and thoughtful strategies for children, adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups. I have many years of experience working in a variety of counseling settings. Having grown up as part of a close-knit Italian family, some of the core values that have had an impact on me are the importance of family and friends, and of helping others. I am known for my openness and sincerity, and for really appreciating and connecting with people. There are times in our lives when we can benefit from outside support and guidance. To ask for help when you need it is a sign of strength and wisdom. I provide clients with support in achieving short-term goals, as well as dealing with long-term issues.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
