Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Depression and anxiety are common issues for those who have been wounded by others. I specialize in working with men, but my goal is to help men and women of all ages overcome life’s difficulties to become more like the person God created us to be. I would be honored to share in your journey.

Although common wisdom leads us to believe that women are more emotional than men, studies have shown that baby boys are both more sensitive to (and less able to calm themselves during) caregiver’s absences. Additionally, boys are socialized against expressing certain emotions, making it difficult to overcome childhood problems.

In our work together, I strive to use my skills of listening, encouragement, and problem solving, as well as my knowledge of biblical principles, ethics, and psychology, in order to help you achieve greater moral maturity and overcome deep spiritual, emotional, and relational issues.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
