Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Often when we break, there is space, an opening and within that opening we have a choice. We can ignore the pain, or we can do something about it. Our hurts can cause a constant tape of self-defeating thoughts in our heads. These thoughts hold us back, perpetuate our pain, and/or lead us down a path of self-destructive behavior. Therapy is a process of healing, openness and self-discovery. Let us work as a team to roll up our sleeves and support you in finding a life worth living; where you are thriving and not just surviving. Within our relationships we often experience how our partner does not listen, feelings of being unsupported, unappreciated, or unacknowledged. Ignoring these feelings can cause resentment to build, fracturing the foundation of the relationship. Couples often wait too long to seek support to repair any ruptures in their relationship. My work as a therapist is rooted in healing and empowerment. I have experience with: anger, depression, anxiety, loneliness, addiction, life transitions, adoption, divorce, eating disorders, self-esteem, relationship issues, domestic violence, conflict in couples, communication, boundary setting, accepting oneself and being seen. When you are ready; so am I.
