Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I help kids, grownups, and everyone in between find their own True Voice, so they can live the lives they deserve.

Most of our problems stem from not being able to hear, or at least speak from, the True Voices in ourselves. Perhaps because of clear, identifiable reasons, or for things we don’t even remember.

We are born good, and are geared towards doing what’s best for ourselves and others. But then we encounter obstacles, usually ones we can’t see ourselves, that weaken our best impulses. We sense that we’re missing out on something in our lives, or that we’re acting in a way that doesn’t serve us well.

My job is to help to find those obstacles, and help empower my Clients to work through them, and to, through encouragement, find the real voice that has been hidden.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
San Rafael, CA

My therapeutic style is non-judgmental, supportive, and interactive. My work is based on establishing a safe environment where trust can grow. I view symptoms as a way to call attention to unrecognized needs and unexpressed feelings. The goals of treatment include; learning to identify and express emotions, learning to set appropriate boundaries, developing skills such as self-soothing and impluse control and improving self-esteem.
