Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have extensive experience treating both adults and children. In the past 10 years I have worked in school and clinic settings with children and their family members, including creating a mental health program in LAUSD schools as the Clinical Director of a State of California Healthy Start Grant. I also enjoy assisting couples and families to improve their communication and enhance the quality of their family relationships. I have worked extensively with individuals recovering from traumas, depression and anxiety as well as with clients wishing to improve self-esteem, reduce stress, build stronger relationships, and enhance the ability to express feelings. I designed and taught a class called "Express Yourself" for the Los Angeles Dept of Recreation and Parks and I have taught parenting classes privately and in non-profit settings.

During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
