Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Clients come to me during times of transition in their lives, and when relationships present problems which seem overwhelming and hope and happiness appear to be out of reach. I help those who have issues of self-esteem, symptoms of depression or anxiety, a lack of direction in their lives and troubled relationships with family members or loved ones. My education, training, and life’s experiences give me the confidence that is necessary to assist people through difficult times.

The training that I received at the Conciliation Court of the Los Angeles County Superior Court has been valuable in helping me to help others through the difficult process of divorce without litigation or financial and emotional devastation. I have also worked successfully with individuals and couples on issues of domestic chaos, familial problems, grief and bereavement and caring for elderly parents.

Barbara Witney, MA
Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
