Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I use art to heal the heart, providing counseling to children and families who are hurting, such as grief, loss, divorce, stepfamilies, pet loss, trauma or illness. I have worked with the dying, children whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDS, and grieving children who have had a parent die. Currently I provide an art therapy support group for adult cancer survivors. I have 9 years experience working with children of al ages, specifically “at risk” children and children with special needs, including ADHD, Autism, Aspergers and developmental delays. I also enjoy and have experience working with the elderly. I am a registered art therapist and a licensed marriage family therapist.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Carlsbad, CA

I provide a therapeutic environment that allows individuals and couples to explore ideas, beliefs, life experiences, thoughts and feelings that may stand in the way of being who you truly want to be. I can help point out repeating dysfunctional patterns that may exsist in relationships at home, at work and with friends and family.I teach people how to respond in their lives versus getting caught in reacting to personalities and events.
