Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
In our work together I offer a space in which all parts of self are welcome. I support your authentic self coming into full expression. We mindfully explore early learned patterns of experiencing and relating which now interfere in your daily living. Through this process new options become available. I bring gentle, interested attention to your bodily felt experience. By allowing what is there to to be just as it is, transformation and healing can occur. The processing of previously unbearable emotions and feelings allows them to become a trustworthy guide in your daily life. In trauma healing work, I assist you in accessing and using your own organism's innate capacity to heal and to experience the core state of calm, relaxation, ease and beingness. The awareness and utilization of the bodily "felt sense" allows the highly aroused survival energies to be safely experienced and gradually discharged. In couples' work, the relationship is seen as a source of security and safety from which healing and growth can occur and through which each person has the freedom to explore his or her own potential as an individual. A new way of relating with each other is fostered that leads to a deepening of intimacy.
