Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Do you prefer the comfort of your own home or office over a therapist’s couch? Do you find nature healing? Then my practice is for you!

My primary work is with children and their families, but all clients are welcome.

Working with children involves expression and exploration through art, play, games, movement and more. Meeting with families in their own environment helps everyone feel more at ease and make it easier for the entire family to participate.

An outdoor setting works particularly well with children over 11. It is also great for teens and adults, especially those who like the outdoors and are active.

Goals of therapy are always set by the client. Healing can happen even in the hardest of life’s experiences. And families who aren’t in crisis can learn to increase communication, get needs met, find ways to appreciate individuality, build connection and adjust to life’s changes.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
