Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am pleased you are considering seeing me as your therapist. My priority is to help clients with increasing their self-esteem while encouraging growth and change. I help clients with exploring where they are today and how they got there. I believe your personal and family history have made huge contributions to who you are today. It is important to gain an awareness of your behavioral patterns to learn the reasons behind them, and then to change those that no longer work for you. I work from client-centered, humanistic and family systems approaches. I have considerable experience working with adolescents, parents, individual adults and couples. Some of my specialties are: relationships, parenting, depression, anxiety and transition. I have background working with clients from diverse ethnicities, cultures, and sexual orientations. I welcome your call and the opportunity to work with you.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
