Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Hello, I have 15 years experience working as a clinician. I work with clients collaboratively, am empathic and non-judgmental and provide a safe space where you can work with a culturally sensitive therapist. I am fluent in Spanish; bilingual and bicultural. I have worked with children, teens, adults and families and have worked extensively with those impacted by violence and abuse as well as with individuals dealing with trauma and other family issues. I provide bereavement and grief services to adults and children. I have experience with Dialectival Behavior Therapy groups and Somatic Experiencing training has been invaluable to me and the clients I see. I am a Somatic Experiencing practitioner in training and I integrate SE techniques into my practice. Please contact me if you have any questions; I would be happy to answer them and to consult with you. Saludos.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
