Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Welcome to my page and thank you for visiting it on your journey to healing, balance, and overall well-being! I genuinely believe that finding the right-fit therapist is imperative in the therapeutic process. I place a large focus on developing the therapeutic relationship as I believe that healing happens through relationships that are respectful, compassionate, vulnerable, and accepting of you as a whole, authentic person. I began my career working with families and young adults facing the challenges of severe mental illness. I have supported many families through difficult life transitions by helping them to create healthier boundaries and more mutually supportive relationships. In working with individuals, I have extensive experience with addiction, trauma, depression/anxiety, and eating disorders. I am well-versed in DBT, CBT, mindfulness, and ACT tools that are often helpful in managing the struggles we face as humans. I offer free phone consultations and look forward to hearing from you so that we can explore whether I can be helpful in obtaining the outcomes you want from therapy.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
