Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with a private practice in Los Gatos, CA. I have been working in the field of mental health for more than 15 years, with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings. I have extensive experience working with substance abuse disorders, and the many issues that accompany them. My approach to therapy is influenced by many theoretical perspectives, with an emphasis on mindfulness and increasing awareness and acceptance. I try to help clients gain a greater understanding of what they can and can't change, and how to successfully manage both. I also have a strong belief in the mind/body connection, and try to help my clients strive for overall health.
