Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Have you had enough turmoil? Not getting along with someone important to you: a partner, child, or parent? Maybe it’s an employer, friend, or even a “thing” like food. Perhaps there’s a battle going on inside you. Things were better before, but now it feels different. You may feel discouraged, upset, even bewildered. Perhaps you’ve felt successful in life before. You’ve relied on your skills and abilities, but for some reason your efforts don’t seem to work now. There is hope for you to feel better. As a therapist, I feel passionate about helping people live more richly, deeply, vibrantly and authentically. I strive to create an experience that is welcoming, safe and compassionate, in which you feel deeply understood. Together, we can explore the core patterns that create turmoil in you, even patterns you may be unaware of. We can discover new ways to relate to others, and to yourself. Therapy can be a journey of discovery, healing, and transformation: it’s a way of becoming the real you.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
