Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have been a Licensed Marriage, Family and Child Therapist since 1990. I identify as Anishinaabe (Chippewa) and have a holistic, family systems perspective. My area of expertise has been adolescents and women’s issues, multicultural diversity, substance abuse/recovery, spirituality, healing from trauma of abuse (both giver and receiver), grief and loss, stress management and most importantly: self care. I have been a presenter addressing family violence at National Native Wellness conferences for a number of years. I am a contracted service provider for Cal Works. I am also a service provider for the Victim Witness program. I offer a sliding fee scale for those who do not carry insurance. I am on the referral list for students attending Antioch University West and am provider for a variety of EAP'S.

I have helped hundreds of couples recognize the hidden obstacles that cause pain in their relationship and learn the skills needed to deepen the quality of their relationship as well as resolve conflict. For over twenty five years I have been working with heterosexual and gay couples. I do not believe in a one -size- fits- all approach to therapy.
