Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
We often function and interact as adults, based on experiences we’ve had from past interactions with our family of origin, as well as others we’ve met along our path. We bring with us in our roles as partners, individuals and parents many strengths, as well as areas of weakness that we would like to change. As we continue to mature, we begin to realize that many of the values, beliefs, behaviors, thoughts and ideas that we were raised with, no longer serve us, as we would like. I believe the way we create positive change and more loving relationships in all areas of our life is by building on our strengths and revising those thoughts, behaviors, ideas, and beliefs that no longer serve us. As parents, when we model and create change for ourselves, this also creates positive changes in our children.
