Services
I am proficient in American Sign Language. I am accepted within the culture of the Hearing Impaired community. I also specialize with various other forms of sign languages such as Tactile Sign Language that enables me to communicate within the Deaf-Blind community. As a former Special Education Teacher, a large part of my career has centered on working with emotionally and physically challenged persons. Additionally, as a licensed therapist, I have had specialized training and developed skills working with Critical Incident Stress Management. In conjunction several national and local EAP programs, I provide these services on a regular basis within my immediate community and surrounding areas. I am willing to travel to other communities. I am a certified presenter within the American Red Cross able to provide Reconnection Workshops around the country for returning military personnel promoting resiliency in returning to civilian life. This program provides psychological support to Military personnel post deployment. Also within ARC, I am deployed to assist with Psychological First Aid for staff and community members in places of local and national disasters. I have been deployed several times. As a member of the National Disaster Medical Services (NDMS) under the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Team CA-1, my team is on call by the President of United States to serve in national disasters. Currently I am in training for Incident Responses to Terrorist Bombings provided by HHS. In my office, I am available to provide psychotherapy with couples, families and individuals from the ages of 9 to 99 seeking assistance in the areas of communication difficulties, marriage concerns, residual divorce issues, depression, bereavement, behavioral conflicts, postpartum depression and crisis intervention.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
