Personal Statement:
Gary Pesavento, Ph.D. is a psychologist with over 30 years of experience in a variety of mental health settings. His areas of specialization include the effects of divorce and separation on children and families, parenting skills, adolescent and adult depression and anxiety, and the unique problems facing military families and those individuals working in law enforcement. He frequently works with couples and enjoys working individually with men to address issues specific to men in this modern day society we live in. His treatment approach incorporates psychodynamic, cognitive, and behavioral techniques. Dr. Pesavento’s philosophy is based on the perspective that all people are capable of change and he is committed to assisting his patients in this process. His treatment methods are individualized to meet the diverse needs of is patients.

Dr. Pesavento has presented seminars on topics such as juvenile fire setting, positive parenting, and child development. He also had developed a reputation in the community by assisting families with unique issues related to military and law enforcement life style.

Dr. Pesavento is involved with many different insurance and managed health companies as well as EAP services. He makes appointments on an as needed basis and tried to accommodate the busy schedules of his patients. Hours include weekdays and weekends with many evening appointments available.

Dr. Pesavento has been married for over 30 years and has been involved in private practice with his wife who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 30 years.
