Personal Statement:
Hello, I'm Gayle Paul, licensed therapist and founder of the Happiness Institute. The Institute specializes in counseling individuals, couples and teens who want to reduce stress, anxiety and conflict in their lives. The Happiness Principles build on people's strengths with practical skills that can be used right away. If you or your loved one want to feel less stressed, enjoy your life and relationships more, my approach can help you get there.Here are some of my areas of specialization: Couples (gay/lesbian/straight) Anxiety (generalized, Panic Disorders, Agoraphobia, PTSD, and OCD) Depression Substance Abuse I received specialized training in the treatment of anxiety disorders from the Institute for Psychotherapy Integration using exposure-based cognitive-behavioral interventions. I have completed post-Master's Substance Abuse Harm Reduction training through the Harm Reduction Treatment Center under the direction of Patt Denning, PhD. In addition, I have 16 years' experience in traditional substance abuse treatment. My office is conveniently located in San Francisco's Hayes Valley.
