Personal Statement:
Gene Bohlmann is a licensed psychologist and marriage and family therapist. He completed his masters and doctorate degrees in counseling psychology and also completed psychoanalytic studies at the Newport Psychoanalytic Institute. He is a professor of psychology at local colleges at the doctorate, masters and undergraduate levels. He has also served on the advisory committees of psychology programs and was recently elected to the board of directors for a community mental health agency. Gene gained his earlier clinical experiences, including 6,000 hours of supervision, working in community mental health, substance abuse treatment, and elementary school counseling. He is an active clinician in private practice sharing offices with psychiatrists working with individuals, couples, children and families. Gene has experience as a clinical supervisor and has served three years on the staff at College Hospital.
