Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Thank you for your interest in my practice! Reaching out for support for your child, family and/or yourself can be a marked moment in one’s life. Recognizing when help is needed can be very difficult. It’s normal for individuals to go through hard periods, but sometimes one requires more than just time. You may have tried your best to make things better and now you're wondering what else you can do. I'd like to help. I'm a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist specializing in working with children, adolescents, families, and parents. I have over 14 years of clinical experience and feel uplifted each time I watch a child/adolescent/adult rediscover the happiness in their life that is so deserved. I work to tailor my approach to each individual's specific needs & concerns so that together we can create a path towards healing, empowerment and change. I believe that each person and age group has different needs within a therapy setting. I utilize play, art, sand, and interactive talk therapy to create a safe, compassionate and dynamic approach to support systemic change. I have specialized training in Infant-Child Mental Health with children 0-5 as well as with school-age children and adolescents. As well, I am trained in Parent Child Interaction Therapy and can provide parent coaching utilizing these techniques. In addition, I am certified to administer a wide battery of developmental assessments for children 0-5 which can be essential in addressing the needs of developing child.
