Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
It’s mysterious: the unfolding of the Self. Mindful psychotherapy pays exquisite attention to what is unfolding in the moment. An open focus of simply noticing what is present increases acceptance and deeper understanding. Mindfulness cultivates seeing deeply within, tapping into the inherent capacity for insight, through non-judgmental awareness. It is a gradual awakening. Cradled within mind/body psychotherapy lie holistic principles that are respectful of how the Self embodies experience, beliefs, attitudes, values, potential, emotions and images. Awareness is key. Mind/body psychotherapy works well for individuals, couples or groups addressing a variety of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, grief, life transitions, self actualization, identity, intimacy, singlehood, communication, and multi-culturalism.
