Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
As a transpersonal psychotherapist, I employ an eclectic approach that addresses a variety of issues that the client brings to therapy. I also draw on the Non-Dual teachings of Zen and Advaita Vedanta to inform my therapy from a broader perspective. The objective of therapy, from a Non-Dual perspective, is to assist the client in cultivating moment-to-moment awareness of Life here and now, whatever experience may arise. This implies a deeply compassionate witnessing presence that accepts this moment just as it is, completely. The result of this process is a realignment of the client's identification of self from that of a problem-besieged personality to the Transpersonal Self. The effect of this realignment is to make available to the client a deep source of wisdom and healing. This approach, despite its spiritual implications, has very down-to-earth, practical results for the client. For a more detailed discussion of my therapeutic approach, please log onto my website at www.transpersonaltherapy.net.

Pamela J. Blawusch, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Carlsbad, CA

I provide a therapeutic environment that allows individuals and couples to explore ideas, beliefs, life experiences, thoughts and feelings that may stand in the way of being who you truly want to be. I can help point out repeating dysfunctional patterns that may exsist in relationships at home, at work and with friends and family.I teach people how to respond in their lives versus getting caught in reacting to personalities and events.
