Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
“No matter how challenging life may be, I believe it is possible to move forward, to heal from a painful past, to navigate transitions, and to find healing and healthy relationships. I am here to support you in this process in a warm, empathic, respectful and collaborative way. I draw on my background in counseling psychology, business, music, meditation, and somatics as I work with clients from all walks of life. My areas of specialization include work with children, couples, and individuals, as well as trauma release, transitions, grief/loss, health and career issues, relationship issues, spirituality, and self care. I utilize an Object Relations approach with a Client-Centered perspective. Somatic Techiques and Dr. Richard Miller's iRest protocol (similar to Dr. Peter Levine's 'Somatic Experiencing') may be utilized for some clients. I have a backgound in yoga, meditation and nondual Vedanta philosophy which affirms the unity and the sacredness of all beings.”

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
