Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Because of my life experiences and the recovery that I have embraced throughout my healing journey, I believe, know, and trust that wellness awaits each of us. We choose the time. There is a season for being a victim and there needs to be time allotted for compassionate understanding and processing of one’s vulnerable position. With hard work and commitment, each one of us is capable of moving out of our fragile states and into a place of purposeful authenticity.

In my work as a therapist, author, and presenter, I most often align myself with two theoretical orientations: Client Centered and Cognitive-Behavioral. My expertise is centered around the issue of abuse, trauma, grief/loss, addiction/codependency, and betrayal. Please visit my website HolliKenley.com for further information.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
