Personal Statement:
Howard Levitt, M.A. is a licensed psychotherapist and co-founder of Counseling West, a full-service mental health center with Los Angeles and Ventura counties. He is a co-founder of Divorce Mediation Services. He has over 30 years of experience providing psychotherapy to families and individuals. As a co-founder of the Northeast YMCA Probation Project and the Granada Hills Foundation, he provided community-based treatment for delinquent and pre-delinquent youth and designed and implemented the first diversion counseling program in East Ventura County. Howard has been a member of the Board of Directors for the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and is an advanced member of the Association for Conflict Resolution. He currently serves as a President of the Conejo Valley Mental Health Professionals Association; a unique multidisciplinary mental health group. In addition, Howard has traveled to 11 countries in a professional capacity for the People to People organization.
