Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am a psychotherapist who works with individuals, couples, families, teens and children. My areas of emphasis are Adoption, Trauma Recovery, Grief & Loss and LGBT issues. I believe that people are capable of growth and healing. In fact, that is our true nature. I use an eclectic approach to therapy that may incorporate a combination of techniques, including: talk therapy, mindfulness, visualizations, EMDR, journaling, play therapy, art therapy, and role playing. As we are each unique individuals, I believe in creating an individual treatment plan that honors each client’s unique needs. Please visit my website at www.HuyenLMFT.com for more information.

I look forward to hearing from you.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
