Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
The decision to separate or divorce can be stressful and painful, not only when a divorce is unexpected or unwanted but also when efforts to save the relationships are unsuccessful. Yet, decisions must be made, people must negotiate new beginnings, and the heart needs tender care. Even remarriage can pose unexpected challenges, especially for children. Dr. Ricci offers individuals, couples and families opportunities to capitalize on their strengths, protect their children from unnecessary pain, successfully navigate the transitions, and look forward to a new and better future with stronger life skills and renewed purpose.

Isolina Ricci is the author of MOM’S HOUSE, DAD’S HOUSE (for parents) and the new book for older children, MOM’S HOUSE, DAD’S HOUSE FOR KIDS. She was recently featured on the PBS documentary, “Kids and Divorce: for better or worse”.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
