Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My Purpose as a therapist is to provide a safe, empathetic, encouraging environment where my clients can achieve their goals. I believe that my clients have the skills and insights to solve their own problems, and my role is to assist with this process. Our unique relationship will have trust and honesty. I am eclectic, using Rogerian for empathy, and cognitive-behavior to expedite change. Using EMDR hypnosis, I am very skilled and experienced in reprocessing traumatic memories of childhood trauma or abuse, or any other form of trauma such as rape or domestic violence.

I work with all ages from 5 years to 90 years. I am especially experienced in working with troubled/rebellious adolescents. I am passionate about my career of being a therapist. My clients find me very gentle, supportive, and creative.

Pamela J. Blawusch, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Carlsbad, CA

I provide a therapeutic environment that allows individuals and couples to explore ideas, beliefs, life experiences, thoughts and feelings that may stand in the way of being who you truly want to be. I can help point out repeating dysfunctional patterns that may exsist in relationships at home, at work and with friends and family.I teach people how to respond in their lives versus getting caught in reacting to personalities and events.
