Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Participating in psychotherapy is an excellent way to clarify and better understand the obstacles depriving you the freedom of moving towards a life of greater contentment and self-acceptance. Psychotherapy can move you towards self-discovery and reawaken your curiosity for life. You may be experiencing symptoms that are concerning to you, and may have even developed a diagnosis, such as "I am depressed" or "I have low self-esteem", “I have an out of control teenager and I am ineffective“, or “I’m a bad parent and I am failing my kids.” You may have specific issues that you’ve acknowledged for some time and now feel ready to address them. On the other hand you may feel somewhat at a loss as to how to go about getting started on a path towards feeling fully alive or more in control again. Perhaps you have never had the type of relationship that you’ve envisioned and are longing for, and are experiencing uncertainty as to whether the vision of how “you had anticipated things would be at this point in your life” will ever be realized. Or you’ve realized that your previously satisfying relationship has became filled with conflict, is going flat, and simply feels less rewarding. Regardless of your unique situation, therapy can assist you in becoming more effective in resolving those barriers preventing you from achieving that which is your birthright…the right to feel a sense of contentment and satisfaction, and to experience a more gratifying, and effective relationship with self and others in your life. “seemingly complex problems do not always require complex solutions…”

During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone.
