Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
It is my passion to help people transform their lives. I use a variety of techniques, in a safe, warm, and caring environment, to help individuals and families to overcome difficult challenges and achieve the change and growth they desire. Working together as a team I can help you to gain insight and problem-solving skills. My specialty is helping people overcome childhood pain, abuse, and trauma. In general, I can help you with depression & anxiety, stress, suicidal thoughts, self-injury, Posttraumatic Stress, dissociation (including DID/Multiple Personality Disorder), communication skills, relationship issues, parenting, self-esteem, and personal and spiritual growth. Life challenges, stress, conflict, & past memories, can be difficult, confusing, & scary. They're also opportunities to heal, grow, and transform your life. I believe in building positive relationship/collaboration, optimism, empathy, & humor to help you better understand and heal from whatever issues you may be facing. I have facilitated many groups, such as "Adults Molested as Children" and conducted classes/workshops on parenting, leading to co-authoring a book, "The Authentic Parent: Developing your natural gifts to become the parent you always wanted to be." Call for free consultation. I look forward to meeting and working with you.

Barbara Witney, MA
Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
